Katateb began when our founder, Hussam Mestou, a Syrian father living in Australia, tried to teach his kids Arabic.
But every option available felt disconnected from the real needs of families like his. No native speakers. No flexible scheduling. No personal connection.
So he created the platform he wished existed: a trusted, flexible space for families to preserve their identity, culture, and sense of belonging.
