Despite previous enrollments in Arabic teaching schools, Mariam’s progress in understanding and using the Arabic language was minimal. The need for a learning environment that could effectively engage and teach her the fundamentals of reading and writing Arabic was critical.
“I enrolled my daughter Mariam in the Katateeb platform last year in August and she had only a little knowledge of Arabic letters even though she was in a school teaching Arabic in Australia and was also registered in an Arabic school on Saturdays in my area, but I found no progress in the language. Thank God, I found Katateeb on Instagram and registered Mariam in it, hoping she would learn to read Arabic. My daughter takes four classes a week with her teacher and, thank God, she is very happy and responsive to the teacher. She started with the first phase, which is empowering the letters, and now she is in the second phase and is able to read and write many Arabic words and understand their meanings. I did not see such improvement in the language with my daughter except after the weekly classes and, thank God, in a short time, she even benefited from the teacher’s Arabic speech with her so she now understands Classical Arabic well.
